Besser w\u00e4re es, auf das Englische auszuweichen. Bestimmte Animosit\u00e4ten gegen den gro\u00dfen Nachbar Spanien werden anscheinend immer noch gehegt. Nach der \u00dcberquerung der Grenze f\u00e4llt uns sofort der Stra\u00dfenzustand ins Auge. Schmalere Stra\u00dfen hat es hier und der Belag erinnert uns vielerorts an die Situation in Italien. In Portugal wurde nach dem gro\u00dfen Bankencrash von 2009 nicht mehr viel Geld in den Stra\u00dfenbau investiert. Viele Streckenabschnitte sind ein Flickwerk aus sich \u00fcberlagernden Bitumenlagen. Auch sind die Stra\u00dfen schm\u00e4ler als in Spanien. In manchen Kurven zieht so mancher LKW betr\u00e4chtlich nahe an uns vorbei. Im <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Alentejo (\u00f6ffnet in neuem Tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alentejo\" target=\"_blank\">Alentejo<\/a> gewinnen wir einen ersten Eindruck von Portugal. Die Region ist sehr d\u00fcnn besiedelt. Im Vergleich zu Andalusien wirkt die Landschaft unaufgeregt. Ins Auge stechen die unterschiedlichen Farben der im Moment bl\u00fchenden Gew\u00e4chse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex ged\u00e4mpfter als in Spanien. Nur die Verst\u00e4ndigung geht bei uns gegen Null. Nuschelnde Zischlaute wie &#8222;sch&#8220;, statt &#8222;s&#8220; sind zahlreich zu h\u00f6ren. W\u00e4hrend uns in Spanien wildfremde Leute ein &#8222;Ola&#8220; zuriefen, haben wir den Eindruck, da\u00df die Menschen in Portugal auf dem ersten Blick verschlossener sind. Die Lichtintensit\u00e4t ist Anfang M\u00e4rz in Portugal, und vor allem an der Algarve, schon extrem. Ohne Sonnenbrille und Hut stakst man wie ein Wochenend-Dirty-Harry durch die Gegend, ohne jedoch seinen Duellgegner im Gegenlicht zu erkennen. Bei der zerkl\u00fcfteten Landschaft der K\u00fcste ist es verst\u00e4ndlich, da\u00df viele Touristen den Weg hierher finden. Die Felsformationen der K\u00fcstenalgarve sind beeindruckend. Schroff t\u00fcrmen sich Steinw\u00e4nde aus dem Meer in die H\u00f6he. Je nach Sonneneinstrahlung dominieren unterschiedliche Farbt\u00f6ne. Es gibt Landstriche und D\u00f6rfer in denen mehr St\u00f6rche leben als Menschen. Auf unz\u00e4hligen Strommasten br\u00fcten Storchenpaare. Selbst die Steinklippen an der K\u00fcste werden als Nistpl\u00e4tze genutzt. Zwischen all den 200.000 \u20ac Karren w\u00fcrden wir nicht weiter auffallen, w\u00e4re unsere Wagenfarbe nicht gr\u00fcn. Zwischen den Sternenkriegern sticht unser alter Millenium-Falke heraus. Wir stehen mitten in der Sternenflotte, in einem Meer aus wei\u00dfen Wohnmobilen. Seit Jahren werden die Gesetze in Portugal versch\u00e4rft. Wohnmobilen ist das Parken in der Nacht in vielen Orten und an den Str\u00e4nden untersagt. Teilweise sind auch die Ortsdurchfahrten f\u00fcr diese Gef\u00e4hrte gesperrt. Wir k\u00f6nnen das verstehen. Da werden ohne Skrupel die Strandd\u00fcnen befahren, St\u00fchle ausgepackt und die Markisen auf den \u00f6ffentlichen Parkpl\u00e4tzen ausgefahren. Manche Leute kutschieren mit Wohnmobil samt Anh\u00e4nger f\u00fcr den Kleinwagen \u00fcber eine halbe Million Euro spazieren und sind oftmals nicht gewillt, auf einem ausgewiesenen Stellplatz 3\u20ac f\u00fcr 24 Stunden Stehzeit zu bezahlen? An der Algarve ist das Gedr\u00e4ngel gro\u00df. Im ebenfalls reizvollen Hinterland steht man abends weniger gedr\u00e4ngt wie die sprichw\u00f6rtlich portugiesische Sardine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped
